Home Office to be

 

Work in progress.

So with the bed gone I'm now working on creating a home office in the former bedroom nook. The painted headboard is gone and stuff's waiting to be hung on the wall.

I'm getting a bigger desktop which hasn't arrived yet and I'm using the temporary bedside table the way it was intended, as a desk drawer unit.

I've also gotten a new chair for the desk and from it I can actually wave to my reader/neighbor Sarah. Hej Sarah!

I'm using the closets across from the desk (formerly at the foot end of the bed) as office and craft supply storage space.

Wiiiee! I'm so exited to have all my office, blog and crafts stuff in one area again.

 

Mystery Revealed

A couple of you guessed correctly. I've moved my bedroom downstairs into the basement.

 

It's not because I've missed having a separate bedroom or that it's been weird having a bed in the living room but rather that I've missed having a home office.

 

With the bed down here I've freed up that whole space upstairs. This space wasn't used to its full potential anyway and I already knew I'd sleep well down here since I tried it for ten nights when mom visited over the holidays. And no it's not damp. At all. It's actually really nice and dry and the temperature is only about 1 degree lower than upstairs which makes it perfect for sleeping.

 

I'm sharing the space with our cross-trainer but that works out really well because I see it all the time now and it motivates me to use it more often.

Still to do; I'm waiting for a large plush rug that may or may not end up here. I've also ordered a couple of bedside tables that are due to arrive tomorrow and I need some sort of window treatment and bedside lamps. At first I thought I must have head board but I kind of like it without so we'll see.

So, there you go, mystery revealed!

366: Day 30-36

Leftovers for dinner on Monday. My latest passion are those sunflower shoots. So sweet and crunchy. Wille likes them too.

 

Love the combination of the white tulips with the blueberry sprigs in the Savoy vase.

 

Miss Mini. Look at that pink little tongue.

 

7 am on my way to work. I work in the low office building across the road there on the far right.

 

On Friday I skipped lunch and left a little earlier from work instead. Had an appointment for a facial. It felt so good to be tucked in under those cozy blankets and get pampered.

 

Yikes, –17 C (1,4 F)! A little later that night it was –18…

 

Both Mini and Bonus are going nuts right now because the cold temperatures are keeping them inside. They run around like crazy and then find odd spots to sit in when they’re done.

That concludes week 5 of 2012. Can you believe more than a month of the new year has passed already?
