Sometimes labeling can be overdoing it.
In other instances labeling can be really useful. I use a Dymo Letratag to label cables around the house. I have a gadget loving son and with every gadget comes at least one cable, sometimes several. They drove me nuts as I was trying to figure out which one went where.
After getting the little machine we all instantly know which charger goes with which gadget.
We also know that the black camera cable is for the Optio and the white for the Canon.
There is no longer any guesswork involved in bringing a charger on a business trip.
We can also reboot the satellite decoder when needed and not accidentally pull the plug on the dvd.
Just one of those little things that make your life easier in the long run.
