I love using free containers from ice cream or candy to store small things around the house. The other day I showed you my detergent containers in the laundry room.
Today I'll show you an other use for the candy containers. Wille has these built in closets on either side of the bed in his room and since he doesn't have a huge amount of clothes they fit in the one at the foot end. The one at the head end of the bed is used to store a lot of his knick knacks. I sorted his stuff just after Christmas.
When we moved in I added the shelves in there instead of the single top shelf and rod. On the top shelf are some of the items in his cabinet de curiosités stored in tin boxes.
Lower down are the candy containers and they are perfect for storing small collections. One contains little gadgets, one magnets, one GoGos, one balls and jojos etc. Lids are on the ones more seldomly used and the other ones have no lids for easy access.
At the bottom of the closet there are three plastic carrying baskets for projects. At the moment two contain paints and canvases but this has changed over the years. Willes huge marble collection has been in one of them and so has his bottle cap collection.
You know what? This business of Fridays off has been a huge success weather wise. The weather is beautiful on Fridays! Who would have known?!
Have a great Weekend!
