One last post on the laundry room. Thought I'd show you some of the details in there.
The heart serves an important purpose if you are wondering what it does on the floor. Mini and Bonus are very intrigued by the water drainage from the laundry machine and used to pry open the cover all the time and poke their little heads and paws in there. The heart weights the cover down so they can't get in there.
I keep my detergent (one for whites and one for colors) in candy containers which I get at the grocery store for free. They are even better than the ice cream containers I use in a lot of places because these have lids without print on them. Vanish is kept with it's hot pink scoop in the lidded tin box and bleach (which I use very rarely) is kept in the glass bottle. (Edit: If you have young children you shouldn't keep bleach or chemicals in this way without warning labels.) The bottle has a wooden screw top with a horese shoe on it which I think is kind of cool.
The other laundry room clutter is kept in this basket which sits on the shelf with the detergent. Wooden and plastic clothes pegs, spot cleaners, laundry soap bars, laundry bag and hand wash detergent resides in there. It's also where I toss all things I find in pockets before laundering such as coins, nails, plugs etc. My beloved Bounce is in there too and acts purely as an air freshener since we don't have a dryer.
That completes the three day tour of the Laundry Room.
