I know it's difficult but you're not supposed to be looking at Mini in this photo.
You're meant to look at the mini bunting behind her.
I made it with the intention to put it in our Easter tree, but with all the strings it ended up too busy so instead I hung it straight down where the fairy lights used to hang.
The bunting is probably the simplest, quickest and fun'est decoration I've ever made. I cut little triangles out of craft paper...
...stitched them together on my sewing machine, just adding one after the other...
...and I love the result!

Love it. The colour palette is spot on for Spring.

Nice!
I've also seen this with flags cut from fabric. If you use pinking shears the fabric will not fray. Stitch them onto a nce ribbon and voila!

Vilken härligt glad och inspirerande färgklick!
Skriver genast upp det på påskpysseliostan med mina små tjejer!
Tack!

That's so sweet! I wish I had a sewing machine! And Mini's pretty darn cute too.

That bunting is so cute...are you going to show us your Easter tree?
Posted by: alison | March 23, 2009 at 03:52 PM
So cute! I made a silver bunting for New Years and loved it so much, it stayed up until 2 weeks ago. :) I need to make some for summertime now!
Also, I utilized your tips for storing greeting cards and stationery yesterday. My new closet is very happy. :) :)

Oh, that will be a wonderful (easy, quick) decoration for my daughter's birthday party in a couple of weeks. I already am doing paper lanterns, so I like the idea of continuing the paper theme for decorations. Plus, very 'green'.

That is one sweet kitty with her cute little bell! I've never sewn paper (I've hardly sewn fabric either, to tell the truth), that looks festive and fresh.

I think I'll make one too -- yours turned out great.

Hahahah...oh Benita...
You know when I first read the subject I thought it said "Mini is pregnant". Because well, it's Mini on the first picture, and 'bunting' means 'pregnant' in Indonesian, the land where I come from!
Are you still coming to Germany this month?

Alex, I'm flying to Berlin early on Wednesday. I hope there's no snow...

How delicate and pretty, just like the flowers budding in spring! I'm surpirsed your cat is sitting by so calmly. I think mine would be tangled up in such a hanging delight by the time I came back with a camera.
I just found your blog a week or so ago and have already found many inspiring thoughts, ideas, and ways of living! I love being able to peak into someone's life in Sweden (I am from Canada). Thank you for doing your blog in english, I'm sure that was purposeful.
Have a great day,
Janie

Hejsan. Tycker mycket om din blogg. Jag undrar vad pallen på bilden heter och om/var den finns att köpa idag (jag antar att den är något av en klassiker)? Tack för all inspiration!
