After cookies come sprinkles, right?!
Sprinkles are one of those essential kitchen staples don't you think? What would an icecream or a celebration be without?
It's also one of the things I always look out for when traveling. I love going to the local grocery stores and stock up on unusual ones, like the slim tubes saying "taikoo". They are japanese (bought in Hong Kong) and contain colorful sugar sprinkles. My Halloween ones are from the States and some very pretty but almost inedible ones are from Greece...
I store my sprinkle jars in the pantry in a Muji container and the sprinkles themselves in spice jars from a local department store, Åhléns. I keep the jars upside down so I can see what's inside of them without lifting them out of the container.
So, what brought this sprinkle post on today? It's my mom's 80th Bithday! Sprinkles all around!
Happy Birthday Mom!
