Polli Give-Away!

I haven't told you all that much about my day job because I like to keep blog and job separated but I think I've mentioned that I'm in the jewellery business. I've also told you that I hardly wear any of that stuff. Kind of an odd combo but that's the way it is.

I rarely get excited about jewellery and accessories but when I saw these my heart melted a little bit.

 
Aussie company Polli offered one of their über-cute pieces as a give away and I just couldn't resist (and you have no idea how many offers of give-aways I turn down). So if you want to be entered in the draw for your favorite stainless steel pendant or pair of earrings please leave a comment telling us which polli piece is your favorite from their stainless steel collection and why.

It probably doesn't come as a surprise that my personal favorites, seen here, include bikes, pets and houses. Can you spot the designer's dog Alfie in one of the windows of the terrace above btw? How sweet is that?

I like lyre bird earrings (and the pendant). I like how the tail detail and the way they are arrange up and down. The ends of the feather tail are like teardrops. The whole detailing is beautiful.

I like the SS Macky Pendant best. Cats have always been my top fave animal. Back when I lived in NY i would help take care of numerous stray cats around the neighborhood along with another neighbor. They always knew my mothers home and hers was a safe haven for cats. Now that I am no longer living in NY, my home in Germany is home to 4 wonderful cats, but I will always stop and help a stray!

I love love LOVE the Nouveau pendant - the Nouveau movement was my first 'design love' and still informs many of my design choices. I even have nouveau inspired tattoo on my arm! The style is timeless and this pendant is a great example of how it can be used in an unstuffy and contemporary way. I would wear this pendant for years to come.

I have to say that it was very, very hard to choose only one. I just love all of them, but if since I have to tell my favorite one from them all, it has to be the jasmine necklace because it remind me of the house I grow up in. There was a huge Jasmine tree/bush at my bedroom window and every night, when the wind blew I could smell the little flowers, to this day, the sense of jasmine makes me travel in time to when I was a kid because of that.

oh my god. you'll never believe me, but this is the best giveaway ever, and i'll die if i dont lay my hands on that bike pendant! i like bikes very much, i use my on daily basis, and when i ride it i never feel alone, i feel self-sufficient and that feeling is so nice. the other day i was checking a bike pendant on etsy, but it was too expensive for my student budget.

What unusual and interesting jewellery! I found it really hard to choose my favorites from the site but i think if i were to buy a piece it would be the large art deco necklace. I thought I liked the Tandem Necklace the most, until I looked at the entire collection on the Polli web site. Wow, what a difficult choice. I love the Kimono Necklace and the Magnolia Necklace, perhaps because they seem so fresh and airy.
