We're back! We're jet lagged. Oh boy, we had the best time ever. It was hot, it was humid but it was awesome.
I'll tell you more tomorrow. Still wearing my travel outfit, desperately need a shower, a glass of wine and my bed.
As I unpacked Wille (best traveling buddy ever) and Martin started assembling one of our purchases, a Chrysler Building 3-D kit.
Donna, a reader, insisted on sending me a gift card of some sort a while back and after saying "that's totally unnecessary" a couple of times I ended up accepting one at Barnes & Noble's.
We had such a good time picking and choosing. Aside from the Chrysler Building kit we also got one with the Empire State Building and the White House as well as a human body pop-up book, some magazines and our favorite, Christoph Niemann's "I Lego N.Y". Thank you so much Donna!
All in all, a great trip! We're pooped. And broke. All in a good way :).

I have to mention, this is weird, I had a dream about you last night, you had all (you, Martin and Wille) come to my house for a visit. I was discussing about cider making from own apples with Wille and he seemed to be very interested in that. And then we went to buy some souvenirs for you and we went to the local charity shop to do that :)
I think I've read your blog way too much lately :D

Congratulations! Obviously you deserve it and I am sure you will have a lot of fun working out what to do with the giftcard (and we will have lots of fun looking at the results).
Could you maybe link to the stuff the other bloggers made? While I am sure your things are by far the best I still would like to see what the others were up to and when I clicked on the panduro link I only managed to find your contribution. Thanks a lot! I was just looking through their catalog and I see myself getting a bunch of tools, like brushes and scissors, some fabric, some craft paints and a whole bunch of other stuff. Yay! More on the trip tomorrow :)

I recently discovered the Chrysler building while researching gargoyles via Google images. I just love it. It was such a treat to see the model that you and Wille got while in NY. And congratulations on winning the contest. I wish you a lot of joy in choosing and using your goodies from Panduro!
