Perhaps some of these would work ( http://www.jula.se/redskapskrokar-12-delar-126709#image2 ). They come in white to:)

My self I do have a trolley that I use for shopping that I do just put in a closet in the hallway.

I was wondering why was Willie hanging... then I read the post.

PS Maybe you remember me asking persistent questions about oilcloth some months back... well I finally took a plunge and I´m very happy with the way it looks, and it´s so so easy to clean ! Thanks a lot !

if the metal "shelf" allowes it, you can hang it the same way, just turn the dirty board so it faces the wall. that way you'll only see dirty wheels - but they're dark, anyway, and clean side of the board. maybe that could be the solution: to hang it on a wall that way. or you could slide it in between closet and wall or even build a little vertical shelf for it inside the closet..

Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd leave it where it is. It's off the floor and not getting anything else dirty.

No worse than storing a bicycle indoors, which some folks have to do too.

Still loving this blog, Benita.

People use special hooks to hang musical instruments on the wall - they are stored but decorative too. I'm thinking Wille might like to have this hanging in his room on the wall - looks cool. You might need the coat space in the winter?

I wish I had a Jula somewhere nearby...
I wish I had a closet in the hallway...

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

It doesn't I'm afraid. And there's no closet in the hallway unfortunately.

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

That was my first thought and we even tried it on Wille's guitar hook but the boards are very much heavier than the instruments so I'm not sure. Martin's got an idea though!

jja

Under the bed? Garage?

Janne

How about a shelf over the door? So it will only be the wheels you can see..... Or make a hole in the board and put it on the wall with the dirty side up against the wall ....

erika

How about...some heavy duty bike-like hooks? By the way this is my new favorite blog.

We've always stored them horizontally with the underside showing. Kind of like bookshelf brackets but for skateboards. Our boys always kept them on the wall in their rooms. Here's some examples.

With you and Martin so great at wood work, I bet two could make this one but for one board. Very basic construction. Pegs could hold helmet.

Thanks for all the ideas!
Unfortunately there's no horisontal space in the hallway and that's where we want to keep the board because it will be used daily for transportation and I'd rather not bring the dirt further into the house. The dry summer is ok, but I can imaginge what a wet fall will bring so in the hallway it stays...

My fiancé's longboard is standing up behind the spare bathroom's door. The wall is tiled, so the wheels touching it are no problem and you can only really see it if you look back to the closed door when you're in that bathroom.

Benita, when my son was young, his best friend made him a wooden hanger for his skateboards. It was basically a long piece of wood with pegs, and the skate board wheels would fit in between the pegs. We hung it on the basement steps, and the boards would be out of the way!
