Please excuse this week’s mini list. I’ve had a crazy busy week at work (we’re launching some big new projects soon which I’m deeply involved in) and in my personal life (selling a house is both stressful and time consuming!).
It’s actually a reader request list again: Favorite colors and why.
Don’t hold your breaths, I’m not going to spring any secret color crush on you like cobalt blue or deep burgundy.
ALL TIME FAVORITES:
WHITE
* It’s clean.
* It makes me happy.
* It’s a blank canvas to which other colors can be added.
GREEN
* To me it’s not a color, it’s a neutral, the color of nature.
* It works with all other colors and in all seasons.
* Again it makes me happy, in particular Kelly, apple and spring greens.
LONG TIME CRUSHES:
YELLOW & ORANGE
* Sunny, fun and go so well with white and green.
The End.
Ps. Happy weekend!
Pps. Were you fooled today?

Ha ha - good one. April April. You nearly had me fooled about the yellow part. There is nothing to like about that colour, surely you know that? ;)
Maybe for easter. If you are allowed to have one "snaps"...
Ses i morrn.

Well I haven't had my day yet.. it's still last night where I am.. so I can't answer that question yet.
I don't blame you for the short list.. I have no idea how you fit it all in any week let alone this one.
Have a great weekend Benita...
Have a lie in, and DON'T go working in that garden.. take a day off.. you've earned it.
Jo xx
Oh and can I ask, what's the name of the plant in the photo ?? It looks like dwarf hyacinths, but I've never seen them any colour other than blue.
Ta.

I don't know the name for them in English but they're Muscari armeniacum in latin. Normally theu come in blue but there are white varieties too.

Thank you.. I shll go and look them up ;o)
xx

Well there you go.. Muscari Armeniacum is evidently the Latin name for Dwarf Hyacinths. :o)

I have heard these called grape hyacinths?
For me, it is blue all the way. The colour of the ocean and of the endless australian sky.
I have temporary favourites within the blues, turquoise is a fave at the moment.

Thanks, Benita, for not playing a stupid April Fool's joke on your readers. When bloggers do that, I delete them from my reading list permanently and I would miss you!
Have a great weekend! I hope you get to relax at least a little bit. :)

It's just after 9am here and I've been fooled pretty bad already...but in my defense, it was before I'd had my morning coffee.

Hei Yvonne!
http://toddlerlearningactivities.blogspot.com/2011/02/keeping-toddlers-busy.html
Benita: I totally agree on the colours. I think we need colours like that in our interior here in Scandinavia, since it is dark and cold for a loooong period through the year.

I want't fooled but for the first time in my life I forgot to fool anybody, am I getting old???
Colors: white, green, grey for home and the same + black for my outfits.

Funny because I've been thinking to make a quilt for my bed in white, green and yellow...

I think white and green are my favorite colors too -- and for the same reasons you mention. :)

Tack Siri! Det var snällt av dej!

MY favourite colours:
Turquoise, because it is just such a perfect shade of green
White, for the same reasons as you, and one of the reasons I love your blog
Pink, not in a girly barbie pink way, but there are so many shades of this colour that work so well with white and turquoise. Perhaps I should call it light red rather than pink?
I love the combinations of white, turquoise and pink, when does it not work? :-)

I love white, too. And I've tried without success to find out the name of the white paint on the walls of the Corcoran Museum here in DC. It's spectacular, and I'd like to paint my place the same white. I agree about green, too. One book I read suggested painting the walls of young children's rooms green (although maybe a whole room is too much green!) Something about the color green nurturing growth and vitality. My grandpa's downstairs--living room and office--was painted a lovely grey-green when I saw it. And I adore yellow and orange!
The colors in your blog are so appealing, but I realize it's due a lot to all the white.
