So I've been looking high and low for a desk chair for my home office. I've considered cheapo IKEA ones, high end Eames ones and everything in between. I've googled, I've checked out Blocket (our Craig's list), I've browsed through all the furniture web stores and the online auction sites.
In the end via a Google image search I found a link to a local shop I'd never heard off, Inside Möbler, that sells knock offs. I don't know how you feel about knock offs and copies, I'm not usually a fan, I prefer to save up and get the real deal. In this case they had a Tulip knock off though and since I love the look of it and the original is kind of difficult to get hold of and is super super expensive I decided to make an exception and get it.
The reason I like it for my home office is that the base isn't leggy since my desk is already stringy and leggy. I also like that there's a seat cushion and that there are arm rests. I'll probable revamp it slightly by covering the black seat cushion with something.
For now I'm happy that I have somewhere to sit at my desk but I do feel a bit bad for getting a copy. How do you feel about getting copies of iconic furniture pieces?
