Went for a mini-mani during my lunch hour and got this crappy photo after.
Easter feathers outside the flower stand at Solna Centrum. Very bright to say the least.
Doing a bit of grocery shopping at the giant Coop Wille tries to avoid when having to buy just milk…
Looking out of the kitchen window and dreaming about the new decking and lawn without path. Soon…
A little it of spring on my stoop. These are Narcissus poëticus.
Visiting reader and friend Judith, cute hubby Roffe and very handsome dog Castor outside Uppsala. Their place is just like Bullerbyn!
It’s spring!

I hope your week starts nicely! Mine did! I already took my cat for a walk out in the garden(it's our little morning ritual since she spends the rest of the day indoor) and I'm all settled on my chair for breakfast and Chez Larsson!

Lovely photos as always :-) and the picture of the mini-mani shows off your cute shoes quite nicely!

Wow, it really looks like spring there already!
It just snowed again last night here in Central Finland, so it'll probably be another few weeks until it really starts melting. :/
(I'm a long-time reader, but finally decided to comment. Hej då! :))

Oh I can just see a feather duster display popping up in your entrance hall!

Hey, our house is famous! :) Thanks again for visiting - Demo Day was lots of fun!
Love the Narcissus. I hope everybody's newly planted spring flowers don't mind the snow we're getting right now >:(

Judith, your house is a picture - just like (what we call!) Bullerbü, the dream of so many ;)) Gorgeous.
Benita, I'm really curious about the view past your garden - is that common land or a stream with a path alongside it? It looks very inviting - bet kids love that area in summer! And the houses that you see - are they older houses or even part of your old-town where you live, the way they're kind of pushed together...? That's what many old towns are like, so I'm wondering! It looks so picturesque - and obviously Swedish rather than Swiss LOL!!!

It won't :): I never liked those Easter feathers actually but most families do have them over Easter, I prefer just the twigs.

It's snowing here too!!! :( But the weather's supposed to get a lot warmer as of tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Our neighborhood is horse shoe shaped around a parc. Living in a reow house with people really close on the sides and front of the house I love having that open space at the back! The whole area was built in 1954.

Idag känns det inte som om våren är här, men på onsdag, DÅ ska det bli fint!

I LOVE Astrid Lindgren's books and "Children of Bullerbyn" was one of my favourite books when I was growing up.

MelD - that's so nice, thank you! We really love living here :)

Just wondering since you don't own a car, how did you get to Judith's house?

Judith's house is gorgeous! Would love to see more pics :-) And I just got Pippi Longstocking out of the library to read with my 7 year old boy/girl twins! I am not familiar with the Bullerbyn series - will have to go back and look.
Spring has very much sprung here in Connecticut. Temps have been in the 60s Fahrenheit - it's heavenly!!

I took the train to Uppsala and Judith picked me up at the station :).

Dana, are you on Facebook? I have an album there with pictures of the house if you're interested. If you want to look me up I'm Judith Rinker Öhman. And thanks, by the way!

Hi Benita,
Love your pics as always, but today I want to ask you a question - how did you manage to get an international subscription to Martha Stewart Living?
The one time I enquired they told me they don't ship to the UK but it was available at Selfridges. Which it sometimes is...at £6 a copy!
Would love any leads or advice from you, as I know you're another worshipper at the shrine of Martha ;-)

I subscribe through a Swedish service called Press-stop. It's quite expensive, I pay 89 SEK per issue which is more than your £6... I did have an international subscription directly from the states years ago but issues got lost in the mail and some took forever to arrive so I prefer this way. I don't know if they still offer international subscriptions though.

Bullerbyn! I saw the photo and knew right away what you meant! I loved those books when I was a little girl, I only know them as Bolderburen, as it's called in Dutch!!! Thanks for bringing back the memories! XxX

Those feathers look like something Penny (cat) would like. :P

I'm a long time reader but first-time commenter (I think), but your Bullerbyn reference made me smile! I'm from Germany (been living in the States for 6 years), and I used to watch that show translated into German (Wir Kinder aus Bullerbü). Thanks for the memories! =)
