My adult daughter is so very mature and aloof (at least in her own mind) that she declared that she didn't want any eggs this year (I guess meaning: I could use some cash instead) but the little brother of twelve was very clear: I want eggs. With a lot of chocolate. And you must hide them. I am still a child you know!! :)

Oh yes I arranged the hunt. For the big child as well who in the end seemed pretty pleased.

Barbara

Well we kids are almost 23(me) and 20 (my sister).

Currently we are still living at home(we don't qualify for student support and it's cheaper that way....and mom's kinda happy too ;))and my mom arranges these every year too.

You're never too old for fun traditions!

Greetings and a belated Frohe Ostern from Germany

Sarah

Judith

Oh I'm a forever-young egg hunt arranger too! It's just too fun to ever stop, and my nearly 23-year-old who's now a mom herself would raise all kinds of heck if I tried to cancel the egg hunt :)

No blog tips, sorry! I do have my favorite one, but I guess I don't need to tell you about it since it's yours.

Hansen Rio

Aw. sweet! i hope mom will do that someday with me too D;

Leena

That egg hunt must of been fun, I would enjoy one myself too.

I like these blogs and maybe you like them too. You might know these already..

I'm always looking to freshen up the blogs I read! I found two new ones from these comments -yeah!!!! I don't think I have any other modern, fresh, original blogs in my reader other than yours! I remember how happy I was to find you!

Zosia

In Poland we decorate eggs, a lot of people take them to church on Saturday before Easter to have them blessed, but we do not hunt for them all that much. It was a tradition when I lived in Canada. I do buy chocolate eggs for my daughter, but kind of leave them somewhere in her room when she is not there, which is not much of a hunt.
Love your egg trail this year. A sleepy teenager (oh sorry, adult) could follow the trail, gather the eggs and end up in the shower to fully wake up :-).

Marcia Lavanda

...and this has nothing to do with this post :)

"With Wille’s Birthday I’m a little behind on my Easter egg hunt post. Yes, I still arrange Easter egg hunts for my now adult son…"

I do this for my grown up boyfriend und would adore if somebody would do this for me! Some blog tipps later today when I am on my home pc.

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

I'm familiar with them, but thank you so much!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Ooh! Will check it out!

Margaret

Check this blog http://sentymentyiprezenty.blogspot.com/
It is in Polish but pictures are great and that couple really made their apartment look different and unique. Very creative and artsy too. Google English translator does a good job too.

Kara

I like http://www.stephmodo.com/?m=1. And I love the ribbon idea. It's usually rainy on Easter in Seattle, so this would be great for an indoor hunt!

Jodi Anderson

While I am an avid reader, today I'm popping in to check out all the links. Yay!!

Sara

Read My blog! We're building our dream house. Moving in in 3 weeks. Excpect lots of organizing tips, pics etc as i am an organizing freak. Right now u can Read about My everyday life and lots of recepies, yupp a bake freak too.

Maggie

We did our first Easter egg hunt for our little guy this year, I just plopped them right out on the lawn and lead him past them. It was fun. As for blog tips one of my other favorites apart from yours is http://manhattannest.wordpress.com/ I am always amazed at what he manages to do in his rented apartment on a student budget. Funny too!

Kari

Your egg hunt reminds me of a game parents of a friend set up for a birthday party--called spiderweb. They would weave strings through up down and around the entire house (and they lived in a four story converted hen house so there was a LOT of house). The strings were intertwined and each child would get a string end tied to a spool to wrap it around--you would follow and wrap the string until you got a a gift bag of goodies at the end. Tremendous fun and very exciting even as we got older! Nowadays you could probably get different colors of string as well, to make it even more interesting.

Maggie

Whoops, sorry for giving you a bum steer, that was his old address. Here is the correct address http://manhattan-nest.com/

Debbie from Chicago

This was our first Easter in 20 years that we didn't have an egg hunt. Both my kids are away at college and it wasn't possible for them to come home. I still colored eggs, I am not ready to give that up too! :)

Ruth

The Easter Bunny did the hunt for our four year old grandson, and then he made a hunt for mom, dad, grammie and papa. All ages can enjoy this fun!

And for links, you may have mentioned it, but I don't see it on your list: http://chezerbey.com/. This is a Seattle blog that I think you will enjoy.

I hope Wille writes a post for us one day! We hear so much about him. I hope one day I can become a cool Mom like you! Anyways, I'll leave my own blog here (http://www.gohausgo.com) and hope you'll check it out! I feel sheepish requesting that but I think our styles are adjacent, if not similar.

Hej Benita,

Please take a look at our blog...

www.CuratorsOf Lifestyle.com

We read yours every day!

Sarah

Tracy

i checked out yr link.agree that the apartment really rocks :D such an arty feel

Marie

Do you know this one?

http://www.stayathomeista.com/

Sarah

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

I actually recently stumbled on their blog so it's in my reader!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Fina!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Love the two you mentioned! And I can tell that I'll be able to pick up some ideas from you too!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

I'm familiar with the magazine, but I'll have to check out the site, thanks!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

It looks really fun!

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Men vädigt kul nischat!

I'll take a peek, thank you! :)

Hi again Benita,
I just remembered that you are re-working your garden. I am in the same situation, and find a lot of inspiration from a Danish blog. He works in a completely different scale than us........but he has some really nice colour-combos!He is also good on leafs (shape, colour etc).
