When we moved we left the old large and heavy patio table at the old house and I made do with a couple of trestles and a hollow core door covered with oil cloth as a table out back last summer.
I’ve had a hard time finding a table I like. Every time I found one I liked it turned out to be 20 000+ SEK so I gave up and headed to IKEA. Looking at their website none of their tables really were what I was looking for but with my new decking being built in a couple of week’s time I started to get desperate.
To my surprise one of the tables was actually much nicer than expected and I was happy to bring a Falster table home with me.I was even happier when I realized the only assembly needed was screwing on the four legs. Ha, they even included the wrench!
There it is! A lucky thing was that when I got home I noticed that the table is the exact same color as the new awning I put up last year. I didn’t even think of that at the store as I didn’t intend to get a grey table going in. Happy coincidence!
Here’s more of a close up of what the table top looks like. It’s got the exact same stripy heather effect as the awning. The top’s some sort of wood resembling plastic and the base is aluminum so it should be able to stay outside all year long which is great.Ooh, I can’t wait for the new larch decking to replace those pink slabs! Soon, soon!
