Starting the week off with a view from my desk towards the dining area and kitchen. Can you spot Mini?
Baking Wille’s favorite Chocolate cake. Sorry, I’m not allowed to share the recipe. Well kept Larsson family secret.
Love how my plastic Kate Spade bags casts a see through shadow.
Leaving Stockholm behind to visit my mom in the south.
Taking a breather at a Helsingborg Café after our little shopping spree.
Checked off mom’s to-do list which included some scraping and painting.
Someone requested Skåne landscape photos but I’m afraid this was the best I could do on the train back home.
It’s nice to be away but it’s always so good to be back home.

Love the glimpses of open countryside and sun with shadows. How long did the chocolate cake last? Have a good week xo

I cut the cake after it cooled down and then frose the wedges. Then Wille can get a or two out when he feels like it. And I saw that there were still some when I got back!

What's on the edges of the pan?
Love your blog, all the way in New York!

It's brown dried crumbs to keep the batter from sticking to the sides. And to make the cake even more delicious if you ask me. It makes the sides nice and crunchy.

I am a new reader of your blog and love the quiet and subtle tone of your posts. It's inspiring me to take more day-to-day photos vs. waiting on a special event to whip out my phone. Thanks for sharing!

Seeing the glimpses of your everyday Swedish life is what I find so interesting. The pictures reminded me of a trip that I took 20 years ago through your part the world and it brought back memories.
The water level looks so high and close to the church. Have there been issues with flooding or is just high tide?

That church is actually the city hall :). The building is right at the water so it's not out of the ordinary.
