Wille has a sloping ceiling in his bedroom as you may remember and since we got Netflix he likes to watch a movie on his iPad before going to sleep and asked if we could mount his iPad to that sloping wall. I think he saw it somewhere online but I’m afraid I don’t have the original source for the idea but it’s a great one.
It’s so easy actually. You take four hooks where the actual hook itself is deep enough to accommodate the edge of an iPad.
Then you measure where you want the iPad and mark where the hooks should go. I did the bottom ones first, screwed them in, leaned the iPad on them and then marked out where the top ones should go and screwed those in too.
Then it’s just a matter of sliding the iPad in from one end and hey presto a wall mounted iPad holder.
Like I said, so simple and easy!
Ps. These photos were taken with my old camera last weekend.

Hey Wille's bed is the other way around than it was before.
Nice holder. Very handy. Love things that can be hung on the wall, does not clutter surfaces.

We changed that quite a long while ago (a year?) because it makes better sense in there. At first we weren't even sure it would fit that way and it is kind of a tight squeeze but it works :).

A very good idea indeed and it prevents the iPad from accidentally slipping from the bed to the floor. BTW, is it a workday today in Sweden? I confess I entered here a bit hopelessly thinking there wouldn't be an update since today it's a holiday here in Spain :-)

It is a workday. They switched days so the holiday is on Saturday which doesn't help us office workers much since we already don't work on Saturdays... We do get to leave the office a little earlier tomorrow.

Too bad :( They said they'd do something similar here in Spain -moving the holidays in between workdays to Mondays- but they never did it!

May, I'm also from Spain and as far as I know the list of holidays they want to move are mainly the civil ones (Constitution Day and so on). Religious holidays remain untouched. Go figure...
Benita, what a clever idea! I'm going to show it to one of my coworkers who needs something like this for her kid's room :-)

You´re so clever, I need to remember this! :-)

we do something similar here in the US. if the holiday is on a Sat, most offices recognize it on a Friday for staff. on a Sunday and you get Monday off.

Just curious. I didn't quite follow how you place it in the hooks. Do you slide it in from the side?
Very clever and simple! Love it!

Yes, you slide it in from one side.

Does Wille like the installation? It strikes me that the screen is a little far away. I like to snuggle up with my iPad to watch tv shows before bed, so perhaps I'm biased.

He loves it and says it's perfect. Actually his bed is one of those where you can raise the ends up so when he watches he's not all the way down flat but he tried that too and said that worked well as well!

Where did you find the hanging basket/storage bag that's hanging on his bed?

Love it! So clever!

You're right, Anna!

That's more rational than having a holiday in the middle of the week, in my opinion. Then again a holiday's a holiday 😉!

I must ask, is that a Calvin and Hobbes screensaver picture or a movie or what? Love it!

It's Wille's screen saver. Gotta love Calvin and Hobbes :)

Hi
Nice wall-TV :D Do you have a cover on the Ipad?
I am thinking if the sliding is making any scratches?
Posted by: FixarFarsan.se | November 04, 2012 at 12:43 AM
The cover doesn't fit with the hooks we chose but if you get bigger deeper hooks you could probably keep the cover on at the back. No scratches so far but you should make sure the screws don't protrude. The crews that came with our hooks are inset.
