Rubber duck

Just curious: while cooking with the non-stick pans, didn't you experience fatigue, dizziness, a state of sickness?
I'm asking because non-stick coatings contain PFOA, a toxic substance linked to cancer and infertility. In fact, it off gases and those toxic fumes kill birds.
There is no advert that will convince me to use anything with non-stick coating!
In case someone is reading this and wants to know more about it, read "Slow death by rubber duck"

Rubber duck - I've never experienced anything like that when using them.

@Rubberduck - Everything and anything can cause Cancer. If we want to avoid Cancer, we should all drop dead tomorrow.

I must say i am with Benita here, never had any problems while using a non-stick pan. No birds dropped dead in or around our household either.

Don Boys

Are you aware of a US source for these pans?

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Don Boys - I'm not but there's a contact form online in English where you can ask! http://www.hackman.fi/english/Contacts#contact-form-section

Don Boys

Thanks Benita. I posted a question to them.

Peggy

Cool tray as your backsplash! What happened to the green one you had there previously?

Naomi

I love the tray as well. Where did you get it?

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

Peggy - I still have the green one AND the navy elephant one stashed away. I know a bit excessive to have three huge trays but they work SO well as backsplashes and I love being able to switch them around AND use them as trays. I figure I'll part with at least one of them when Wille moves out one day. They are design classics so they won't ever go out of style. At least not in my book :).

Naomi - they tray is Manhattan by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn. http://www.svenskttenn.se/en-us/product/0139/brickor/ga11079/tray-rectangular-manhattan.aspx

Missy

I had to go look up "hob". I thought it might be some new cooking device from across the sea. :) I am glad you found the answer to those pesky warped pans.

etta

Is your induction hob also from Ikea? I am thinking about buying from them, are you happy with it?

Benita ~ Chez Larsson

etta - Yes it it and I am!

Same here. Back to the subject, I have to admit I never burned any pan and didn't even know this would be easy to achive ;-) but nice for you benita to find something that works for you!

Hahaha how is no one saying anything about the "flat bottom" comment?? I don't know if I've ever commented before, but I've been reading for years and love your blog. Thanks for the laugh today :)

Adorable tray! I live trays... To keep my craft supplies from falling under the table, to carry my lunch upstairs & a couple have even been used to craft on, hence the knife cuts & glue dabs?
