When I showed you the botanical prints on the oak picture ledge I had a some requests to see them from a far. Here you go! Also can you tell that the botanical prints are now framed?
They’re not really framed per se, but are sandwiched between two perspex sheets and held together with little office clips. I did this once before but this time I wasn’t so lucky to find that many and in the right size so I had these cut to size by my perspex contact from work.
I’m sure my friend Anne, the archivist, will have her say in whether this is a good way of displaying them or not, but frankly my dear Anne, I don’t give a damned :). It’s not that these are super precious pieces of art and besides I have a zillion more where they came from so they stay. For now. Until I think of something else I want to display there on that ledge. Hah!

I love botanical prints, and yours are very pretty! Simple, yet effective! I feel like spring is there in your livingroom! BTW Mona Lisa is running away!!

I like the simplicity. If I had a pound for every piece of art I've seen ruined by the framing I'd be rich..
Good job.

Wow! Eventhough "framed" these look so simple and easy going. Love also the fact that the pics can be very easily changed.

Oh I'm so hurt! I will never comment on your archiving material again!!! (yeah right...)
Actually our conservator always says that this is an excellent way to display fragile paper. But floraprints come en masse and I don't have any objection to using them in whatever way you want (isn't that a relief for you all ;)). Personally I like the Linneaus 18th century way of wallpapering the bedroom with prints...

Yeah, right... and go figure that I finally did something right for once.
I did actually consider wallpapering a closet door or similar with them or covering a piece of furniture but then realize that I'd tire to easily of it.

What a wonderful idea to display your prints and you don't have to mess with those bendy holders that are in the back of most (ikea) frames. I always find some kind of dirt or dust once I finish putting something in a frame. It usually takes me two or three times to get it right. Anyway, looks lovely.

You have more!? Lucky you! I love botanical prints, mostly ecause I've loved plants and everything that grows in nature since I was a child. Somewhere I have two large ones, but I have nowhere to hang them (now, maybe I'll be able to put them up in a couple of months...).

Beautiful prints! Is that a litter box in the first photo? I love it!

Är det en kattlåda? Jag trodde det var en kattsäng. Min katt älskar såna krypin i kojor. Var hittar man en sån? Den är ju superfin! Vill ha!

It's a cat bed from Whiskas. They are not sold any longer but try Ebay. That's where we got ours years ago.

Tack!

What a great idea! BTW, you have a very cute, original cat bed! It's the first time I noticed it. Have you showed it before?

I have and everyone loves it. Too bad it's difficult to get hold of but try doing a "whiskas cat bed" search on Ebay. That's how I found ours.

Mona Lisa caught my eye too!

Benita -- I really like that you decided to go with natural wood for the ledge. It warms the room up a bit and makes the ledge a nice focal point for the room. Beautifully done!

I'm sure you'll mix it up soon and display something else, but meanwhile it looks quite lovely!

Måste bara säga att det blev väldigt bra! Passar så fint med den moderna typen av inramning, i ditt hus. Även om jag uppdaterar mig nu och ser att ni är på väg att flytta.

I'm crazy about design and I have 3 cats. I immediately noticed on this picture the adorable cat you own niche. Could you tell me the brand of this niche and possibly with whom or on what website I can buy? Thank you very much.

The cat bed is by Whiskas. It's no longer sold but you may be able to find it on Ebay.com where I got ours. Try doing a "whiskas cat bed" search there.

De är så fina. Har letat efter en avbildning av hampa jätte länge. Det måste ju finnas, eller?
Posted by: Erik | February 22, 2011 at 08:47 PM
